Work Retreat II: Guard, Abandon, Arouse, Maintain

Led by Sanghadarsini + a team from the Adhisthana Community

We are running two work retreats ( 6-11 August + 13-17 August ) either side of a retreat on Right Livelihood - you can book to attend any combination of the events.

The Four Right Efforts are an integral part of the Buddhist Path to Enlightenment. In our minds, we abandon unskilful mental states and guard against their arising. We arouse skilful mental states and maintain their existence. Also Adhisthana – its grounds and its buildings – is in constant need of prevention from decay, repair, maintenance and improvement. During this retreat, we’ll be doing practical work together and use it as a mirror to become more aware of what is going on in our minds. We can then apply the Four Right Efforts more effectively. Work is the Tantric Guru!
