It is sometimes said: ‘There is no revolutionary like an old revolutionary.’ The young revolutionary is hot-blooded, impulsive, and usually they get over it and settle down and conform, but the real revolutionary is one who, the older he gets, the more revolutionary he gets.
– Sangharakshita, Seminar on the 7-Fold Puja
A long weekend for the first generation of Order Members. A chance to sit in a room with those who share a lived experience of the early years of this movement, celebrating and rejoicing, recognising and remembering the years past, letting things go, sharing experience gained and learned from, and continuing to contribute to the discourse and myth of the Order.
Much of what now is can be traced back to the efforts of your generation. These events integrate that fundamental element of history, lineage and long-standing friendship into the mandala that Adhisthana is becoming; and they are hosted here in recognition of you and the conditions you have created that have supported all who have followed over the years.
Our waged/unwaged rate is £111/78, but for this event we are offering unlimited dana places so that money need not be an obstacle to attending - it is more important that you have the opportunity to gather - if you would like to book a dana place, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and you will have the opportunity to give while you are here.
There is an option to extend your stay until Thursday 4th July for a longer retreat with those able to stay on beyond the long weekend. Please let us know in the other info box when you plan to leave.
