Sadhana: Integrating in the Maya Way

Led by Vijayamala + team

Every sadhana practice contains a complete unfolding of a dharma life. We integrate around going for refuge. We open the heart and gain inspiration and momentum for our practice by placing it in the context of Bodhicitta. With the deep letting go into the blue sky of sunyata, we become sky divers into the freedom of the nature of mind. But the special gift of sadhana is that it enables us to explore what it could mean to live our lives in complete creativity, by putting us in touch with the embodied qualities of a freed mind, a mind without clinging.

The figures we contemplate are reminders of how life could be. We practise on the cushion and in our day-to-day lives, receptive to and increasingly influenced by, their qualities. We dance through the subtle interplay of form and emptiness, of engagement and freedom. Until finally we sit fully integrated in the maya way – at its most profound a non-dual experience of the insubstantial, ungraspable, process nature of all phenomena, which is not obstructed by its clear, tangible appearance.

The week is open to practitioners of all sadhanas, and to anyone wanting to understand more about how to use sadhana as an effective method of transformation. Mostly in silence, with opportunities for personal practice, guided meditations, workshops and meditation reviews.
