A Living Dharma: The Five Spiritual Faculties

Led by Ratnaghosha

Part of the Study Convention: A Living Dharma.

The ‘Way to Wisdom’ is an essay by Dr. Edward Conze on the Five Spiritual faculties. In 1978 Bhante held a weekend seminar based on this essay, exploring the faculties as a ‘path’ and also as a dynamic mandala of contrasting pairs with mindfulness as the balancing centre.

We’ll take this seminar as the basis of our discussion, looking at the faculties already functioning within our lives, using this very early teaching of the Buddha that is still very relevant and applicable today.

Reception is from 4pm on the day of arrival, with the retreat beginning with supper at 6pm.

The retreat will finish in the morning after the clear-up. If traveling on public transport, please book a train after 11am.
