Successful Community Living

Led by Akasajoti, Amalavajra, Danayutta + Yashodeva

The ultimate aspiration of the Sangha is to transform the world - so a renewed Buddhism needs to confront the modern world as it is, and develop a complete way of life based on the Dharma that is a genuine and radical alternative to an individualistic consumer society. That way of life requires the support of communities and contexts that constitute a kind of New Society, in the midst of the wider society. During this weekend retreat, we will explore how living in residential communities can deepen our spiritual practice and transform the world. It will be led by members of the Adhisthana community and is intended for both those who are interested in starting a community, and those already in a community.
