29 november – 2 December | led by ParamI
Dive deeper into Sangharakshita’s uncompromising lecture.
The world is marked by conflict, collapse, and division—it can feel overwhelming. Yet we are not powerless. The challenge is to respond not with fear or despair, but with clarity, courage, and compassion.
On this retreat we’ll explore what it means to live truthfully and act for the good of all, while facing the forces—greed, hatred, and delusion—both in the world and within ourselves. Through meditation, talks, discussion, silence, and Buddhist ritual, we’ll create the conditions for a radical response to our times. Open to all aged 18–30.
Reception is from 4pm on the day of arrival, with the retreat beginning with supper at 6pm.
While you’re here you will be participating in communal life. This includes meditating with everyone on site in the main shrine room in the morning, taking part in daily tasks and at the end of your retreat you will help us to prepare the retreat centre for the next group to join us.
With this in mind, the retreat will finish after the clear-up, so if travelling on public transport, please book a train after 3pm.
