16 – 20 MAR | led by Vidyaruchi + team
The Survey has been described as Sangharakshita’s magnum opus. While the first chapter is studied within ordination training, later chapters are often neglected despite containing crucial material. This seminar aims to put that right, looking at passages that illuminate aspects of Sangharakshita’s distinctive presentation of the Dharma.
Vidyaruchi has studied and written about the Survey for many years. He will also draw on Bhante’s later writings and include his own visual aids to help comprehend this sometimes complex material.
Reception is from 4pm on the day of arrival, with the retreat beginning with supper at 6pm.
While you’re here you will be participating in communal life. This includes meditating with everyone on site in the main shrine room in the morning, taking part in daily tasks and at the end of your retreat you will help us to prepare the retreat centre for the next group to join us.
The retreat will finish in the afternoon after the clear-up. If traveling on public transport, please book a train after 3pm.
