The Myth of the Return Journey

Led by Karunavajra, Sanghadeva, Sanghadarsini, Shantigosha

The Myth of the Return Journey
1st till 3rd of June at Adhisthana
Friday Evening 6pm till Sunday afternoon 3pm
Led by Karunavajra, Sanghadeva, Sanghadarsini and Shantigosha

An exploration of a classic Buddhist myth from the White Lotus Sutra, looking at the spiritual quest in terms of a journey. A journey that is also a return to a place that we have, in a sense, always known and where we most truly belong.
Following on from looking at The Parable of the Burning House that we explored last autumn, we are choosing another story from the White Lotus Sutra, this time The Myth of the Return Journey. Again we will try and 'enter into' the Myth to see what meaning it may hold for us on our own journey and search for our own 'true self'.
We shall also be meditating, have space to enjoy the Herefordshire countryside and spend time with each other.
There will be short periods of silence on the retreat as well as an introduction to Buddhist ritual.
Open to all from the Hereford, Ledbury, Leominster, Solihull and Warwick Triratna groups. Please contact us if you are from the local area and would like to attend, but have not been to our groups yet.
