Ratnasambhava's Delight

Led by Amalavajra, Dhiradevi + Subhadramati

At our best we’re grateful for all that we've been given, and delight in giving to others. In those moments we taste the freedom of the Awakened Mind. So why is it so hard to do?!

Yellow is the colour of the sun, of gold, and of fields of grain. On this retreat we will invoke Ratnasambhava, the jewel-born Buddha of beauty, abundance and perfect generosity. One hand holds the jewel of Awakening, and the other is outstretched in a gesture of giving - he represents both our highest ideals and the most fundamental human virtue and shows us a path between them.

Over this long weekend, we will explore the profound teachings and practices of generosity and gratitude to establish an attitude of abundance, appreciation and connection and so go beyond ourselves to become more like Ratnasambhava.

Amalavajra is a former investment banker, now living at Adhisthana and fundraising for Triratna through FutureDharma Fund; Subhadramati is a Public Preceptor, devotee of Ratnasambhava, and has been practising his Sadhana since her ordination in 1995; and Dhiradevi is from Germany and gives much of her free time to the Berlin Buddhistisches Tor, deeply inspired and motivated by the practices of generosity and gratitude.
