Taste of Freedom | International Sanghas Retreat

28 Mar – 1 APR | led by Saddhanandi, Dhammarati, Khemabandhu + the Adhisthana Communities

How free will you become?

A thoroughly international celebration of our community, with presentations and discussions in various languages, join sanghas from across Europe and around the world, as well as experienced teachers and the Adhisthana Community for pithy, pragmatic and surprisingly bold teachings from Sangharakshita’s ‘The Taste of Freedom’.

We’ll explore freedom (and the lack of it), of individuality and even the mysterious quality of the Dharma itself.

We are arranging interpretation into various languages with details to follow. We’re expecting French and Polish interpretation.

If you aren’t affiliated with one of the participating sanghas you are still very welcome to come, although book early under the ‘Open’ option as places are limited. If you would like your sangha to be included, contact your Chair and then get in touch, otherwise just book on and bring your friends!

We invite you to watch the video (or read the booklet) below before the retreat. The video is currently available with French, German, Turkish, Swedish and Czech subtitles and we’re working towards adding Polish and Spanish. This is the oldest recorded talk of Sangharakshita!

The Dharma-Vinaya, the principle and the practice of the Buddha, is a shoreless ocean. We can see no end to it. And it’s not something fixed, rigid, static, unmoving, unchanging. It’s full of life, it’s full of movement, it’s continually adapting itself to the needs of living beings.
